Cards like "Crookshank Kobolds" should be returned as Red cards when filtered. Currently the filter picks red cards judging by the mana cost. The "Red Cards" ability is needed to be filled in.

Will an HTML5 web site satisfy your needs? Building a native iOS, Android and Windows Mobile applications may be too expensive for us and the ROE can be low at least at the beginning.

And it will be an phenomenal effort to achieve that as well. The only onces that have manged to make a fully blown AI support for a limited number of sets are Microprose with their Shandalar: Duels of the Planeswalkers. Even they can not make an AI for all sets.

What is feasible is to make a solitaire play when you take first the turn of player A and the the turn of player B.

I have started such development but paused it since in 4 years no one else (apart from Mr. Landcaster asked about it).

There are no current plans for dropping the support of it.
Non-binary versions will not allow you to have really speedy operations and intersections between decks, collections, card pool.
An average user is not really aware of all "matherialization" routines for updating legality for 42 formats, 600 abilities and adding edition details.
Apart from that the card database is the most complete any desktop app has so far (twice richer then Magic Workstation, MTG Online or gatherer.wizards.com). I have invested thousands of hours building it and will not crowd-source it.

Suggested Design: What you say about a new screen called "My Decks" where you can
    1. Add/Remove decks from your local disk by selecting them from an Open Dialog

If you add or remove decks to the "My Decks" the number of cards used in the decks is added/subtracted from the collection "Used in Decks" column.

Whenever MTG Studio starts if checks if each deck in "My Decks" is still present on disk. If not a warning message is displayed in the Messages window and the decks is removed from the list.

The "Used in Decks" column in the Collection is run-time evaluated by loading the "My Decks" at MTG Studio startup. The value will NOT be stored in the mtgstudio.collection file since it is always run-time evaluated.

MTG Studio "listens" while decks are being edited if the Last Modified timestamp of a deck has been changed and reevaluates the "Used in Decks".

Dax Legend wrote: I have some suggestion

1.- In Deck from Collection mode, 2 Buttons to click :
    - Reset Used cards --» Reset all the field ''used'' to 0 in collection
    - Add to Used --» Increase the used value of each cards in deck
    * only usable when a deck is open, I think that's will be more easy to do this way

2.- A new filed in collection called ''Deck Name'' that would be a drop down list, in this list, add the name of the deck that contain this card, no matter how many card in this deck. The deck name would be added when I press ''Add to Used'' button.
Ex. If I have 3 ''wrath of god'', 2 in a deck and 1 in another, in this list I can see the 2 deck name where I can find them in the drop down list.

The 2nd suggestion would be harder to program, but the point, I have a 45000+ cards collection, and I have like 30+ decks... just to improve the way I can find my cards between decks

Azul wrote: would like it if there was a window you could bring up that would keep track of changes you made to a deck since it was last opened/saved.

Have the window broken up into 2 sections: Cards Added, and Cards Removed.

    example:
    Cards Added
    1 Black Knight
    1 White Knight

    Cards Removed
    1 Silver Knight

In addition this window could be used as a way to undo changes. You could double click Black Knight to remove it from the deck, or double click Silver Knight to add it back to the deck.

In order to avoid confusion a card that is "undone" should not be added back to that window. If I had a Silver Knight in the deck originally, removed it but then added it back in again it shouldn't have the card in Cards Added and in Card Removed. It should just not appear at all. That way I can see the total change to my deck since I opened it. I will be able to tell that I added 2 cards to the deck and removed one for that session.

If you can formalize the way you imagine this can work I will be happy to code it.
Feel free to post to our forum http://mtgstudio.com/forum and describe the way you imagine this can work.

Currently in MTG Studio there is no full taxonomy of all mechanics attached to a card. I plan implementing a taxonomy for all card rules in the future but it will be a time consuming and not very rewarding task.
